Light/Shadow Composite

Working on implementing bounce light and added a gray ball to test that the reflections and values are properly working. The cast shadows are a little too sharp and light so I'm fixing that. I also need to work on correcting the patterned shadow that will be cast onto the ball because my projection is being cast from the wrong spot as of now.

Finished working on my shadow prep alpha map and I ran a compositing test through Nuke to make sure that all of the render layers matched well with the clean plate and animation. Still trying to fix/figure out why the color management is an issue when I bring it into Premiere because I fixed it in Nuke. Next step for me is to work on applying the alpha map and projecting it correctly as a perspective projection to get clean and correct shadows on the ball as it rolls through the scene.

Finished the basic design of my volleyball model I will be using in the final composite. On the right is an animation test that I did to make sure it looks correct. I still need to work on the specular roughness to get a better specular highlight. I used to play volleyball in middle and high school so I've spent a lot of time getting to know how this object looks and feels.

Working on camera matching with both a sphere and a cube. It's close, but not quite there yet. I'd prefer to use the lighting of the image with the cube for my final because I like the contrast better than the image with the sphere.
